Officials Cut Ribbon on New Wahconah Regional High School
The community celebrated the opening of the new $72 million Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Designed for modern learning, the state-of-the-art facility features pod-style classrooms, a “main street” common area, an auditorium for the entire student body, and upgraded athletic facilities, with sports fields still under construction. Funded by $31 million from the Massachusetts School Building Authority and local taxpayers, the school highlights the importance of investing in education to attract families and foster community growth. The building, which replaces the 59-year-old former high school, reflects a commitment to collaboration, sustainability, and a vibrant future for the region’s students.
