Work Continues on 6 Stack Street in Charlestown
Construction is progressing at 6 Stack Street in Charlestown, part of the expansive Hood Park redevelopment, a 1.7 million-square-foot mixed-use project. The 3,900-square-foot pavilion at 6 Stack Street will include bike storage, public restrooms, showers, and 1,000 square feet of retail space, likely for a bike shop. Adjacent Stack Street Park will feature a sloped lawn for performances, a rooftop deck with gardens, and green spaces designed to buffer the site from nearby I-93. Developed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, this section of the 20-acre campus will promote bicycle commuting and serve as a community hub, with completion expected by the end of the year. The broader Hood Park project, blending residential, office, and lab spaces with preserved historic elements, is set to transform Charlestown by 2027.
