Job Summary:

Marguerite Concrete is a full-service union concrete construction firm founded in 1989.  We work throughout New England on a diverse array of private and public projects, from industrial and utility work to multi-family housing. We employ approximately 500 carpenters, laborers, ironworkers, and equipment operators and own and operate a large fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Senior Project Managers have a unique opportunity to lead teams of talented professionals building concrete construction projects throughout the region while contributing to the overall growth and success of the Company.  This role further supports ongoing mentoring and training of Staff to develop our next generation of leaders.

Qualifications:

Graduates with Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Technology, and Construction Management degrees are preferred. A minimum of 7 years of commercial construction management experience inclusive of self-performing structural concrete management.

Individuals who have proven they can excel individually and in team settings in the office and on the construction site. Superior written and verbal communication skills, respect for colleagues and clients, a positive attitude, and a solid work ethic are essential for success in our organization. Must have in-depth experience with the following areas specific to self-perform structural concrete subcontracting: safety management, materials and subcontract buyout, project planning and scheduling, labor productivity analysis, estimating, formwork analysis and selection, all aspects of concrete construction methods, project financial accounting and forecasting, RFI and submittal review and processing, union labor agreements, and be competent in the use of construction management software including MS Project, CAD, Revit, Sketchup, Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

In addition to the technical aspects of the position, Project Managers must embrace the role of leader for their project teams and mentor to staff members. Desired attributes include: a willingness to share knowledge, lead by example, set clear goals and hold others accountable, and foster an environment of continuous learning and growth.

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

Work requires the ability to walk or otherwise access unpaved, undeveloped, rough terrain and ascend/descend heights. Work environment requires travel to various construction project sites.  Project sites can be dusty, dirty, hot/cold, and noisy, heavy equipment is often present.  Work requires wearing safety equipment including hard hat, safety shoes and safety glasses.  The office is located in Hopkinton, MA.  Travel to jobsites throughout New England is required.
