MBTA Bus Maintenance Facility

Quincy, MA
General Contractor: Suffolk Construction Company, Inc.

Completed: Ongoing

About the Project

Marguerite Concrete is proud to contribute to the new MBTA Quincy Bus Maintenance Facility at 599 Burgin Parkway, Quincy, MA. Managed by Suffolk Construction for the MBTA, this project replaces the oldest maintenance facility in the system, which lacks the technology and space to support newer buses.

The new facility is designed to accommodate a larger, modern fleet, including Battery Electric Buses (BEBs), addressing current needs and allowing for future service expansion while reducing the MBTA’s environmental impact.

Marguerite’s scope includes constructing ductbanks, footings, walls, retaining walls, 10″ slabs on grade, and slabs on all building levels. Additionally, Marguerite is responsible for pouring miscellaneous site elements and sidewalks throughout the project, ensuring a high-quality and sustainable result.
