Thames River Magnet School (formerly West Side Elementary) is one of two magnet schools planned for the Groton, CT area. It will replace West Side Elementary School and consists of two interconnected buildings that will host kindergarten through fifth grade students. The original building for West Side Elementary School will be demolished to make way for a parking lot, playgrounds, and sports field for the new school.
